Information around your course booking
Course booking
In general, please register in writing: either online via the booking form, by e-mail, by mail or fax.
Course schedule
We assume that you will attend the entire course. Costs for unused course days in case of late arrival or early departure cannot be refunded.
Check-In
Please arrive for check-in between 3 and 5:30 pm, as the reception desk is not staffed after that time. Courses usually begin at 6pm with a group dinner and end on the last day of the seminar either after breakfast (sesshin) or lunch (zazenkai). A daily schedule will be given to you at check-in. Please note any deviations from these general instructions in your registration confirmation.
Cooperation in house and garden
Samu (Japanese) refers to the regular meditative cooperation in the house and garden, which complements the spiritual practice of the participants for one hour daily as a fixed component of our courses. It serves to approach the inner mindful attitude also in the everyday activities and to integrate them as a spiritual experience into the usual environment. Doing the work with devotion and mindfulness not only supports our own meditative practice, but also our community. The house recommends bringing appropriate clothing and shoes for this purpose.
Course fee
The course fee includes the costs for fees, course supervision as well as the applicable statutory value-added tax. The course fee is charged by the Domicilium e.V. Foundation.
In some courses, the teachers receive their fees on a donation basis (Dana principle). Dana (Sanskrit) refers to a gift of the heart.
Accommodation and catering
The Domicilium offers single, double and multi-bed rooms with bath/WC or shared bath/WC. Single rooms are available to a limited extent, the allocation runs according to the time of booking. Therefore, please book early if a single room is important to you. Please understand that we cannot accommodate requests for specific rooms. Double and shared rooms can only be charged if roommates can be found.
The costs for accommodation and meals are charged by Domicilium Weyarn GmbH. The prices are subject to possible price increases.
Payment options
The costs for the course and accommodation/meals can be paid at the beginning of the course at check-in either in cash or by EC card. Please understand that the cashless EC payment option is only available to guests from within Germany.
Cancellation
Cancellation of the course in writing is possible at any time.
- We charge a processing fee of 30 € up to 4 weeks before the start of the course.
- In the period from 4 weeks to 7 days before the start of the course, the cancellation fee is 70 €.
- If you cancel between day 6 and day 1 before the start of the course, you must pay 60% of the course fee and 60% of the accommodation/meals.
- In the event of cancellation on the day of arrival, 100% of the course fee and 100% of the costs for accommodation and meals must be paid.
- Rebooking is possible up to 4 weeks before the start of the course. A fee of 30 € will be charged for processing. After that, no further rebookings are possible.
Should a person be ill on arrival or during their stay at the Domicilium or show signs of a cold such as a cough, cold, fever, etc., the course management reserves the right to send the person concerned home early.
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
Subject to change
Teachers and course instructors may be absent due to special circumstances beyond our control (e.g. illness). In this case, we will provide a replacement or cancel the event. Claims for damages against us (e.g. in the form of travel expenses incurred) are excluded in this respect.
Disclaimer
Participation in the courses and events is at the participant's own risk. The Domicilium is not liable for accidental damage caused by third parties, damage to property or personal injury, or for the loss of objects of any kind.
Intensive meditative-physical practice usually requires a stable state of health. Interested persons who are or have been undergoing psychiatric treatment can only participate after prior consultation with the course leader. In case of doubt, please consult your family doctor.
